Located in the Argentine pampas, its environment is the Pampas prairie, where flowers such as thistle, clover and eucalyptus are combined with alfalfa and sunflower crops.

Queens of the Ligústica breed are bred under the direction of Tomás Bragulat, PhD in Beekeeping Management, who carries out a genetic selection program started 8 years ago. Genetic control is regularly carried out using PCR techniques.

It works with rotation of orphan hives where the translarves of the mother queen F0 are placed. Later semi-orphan hives are used for the continuation of the development of the future queen. With the complete maturation of the royal cell, incubators or direct introductions into nuclei are alternatively used for fertilization.

The hatchery has around 400 fertilization nuclei of 18.5x11mm frames. The full production season runs from October to March/April
